Free Fly Apparel Where Comfort Meets Adventure, Naturally

Free Fly Apparel Review: Buttery Soft UPF Clothing (We Tried It Out!) I first heard about Free Fly Apparel in 2017 on a trip to Charleston, South Carolina. While browsing in an outdoor store, I came across the famous bamboo hoodie and was immediately hooked. For the past six years, I’ve fished, hiked, paddled, boated, camped, and relaxed in Free Fly’s ultra-comfortable outdoor gear. I first heard about Free Fly Apparel in 2017 on a trip to Charleston, South Carolina. While browsing in an outdoor store, I came across the famous bamboo hoodie and was immediately hooked. For the past six years, I’ve fished, hiked, paddled, boated, camped, and relaxed in Free Fly’s ultra-comfortable outdoor gear. What is Free Fly Apparel? Free Fly Apparel is known for its versatile, buttery soft UPF clothing. Certified organic bamboo is combined with quick-drying fabric to create an OEKO-TEX and FSC-certified fabric that’s odor-resistant and moisture-wicking. The founders of Free Fly worked as fishing guides in Montana and discovered a gap in the market: the need for simple, comfortable performance clothing. Tanner Sutton convinced his sister Jenna and brother-in-law Austin to quit their jobs and move to Charleston to continue Free Fly as a family business. “We’re a family business, and that extends beyond the three of us,” says Jenna Sutton. “At Free Fly, we like to keep things simple. Simplicity. Freedom. Comfort… Everyone has that feeling of enjoying the outdoors. How can we bring that feeling of freedom back? That’s what inspired Free Fly.” Free Fly’s motto is “Comfort in. Adventure out”—and rightly so. With Free Fly gear, you don’t have to sacrifice comfort while enjoying the outdoors. The brand crafts its gear for different climates and destinations, offering a variety of materials and fits. (Follow the guides on the website to find out which styles best suit your lifestyle.) Pros Buttery soft comfort UV protection from SPF 20 to 50+ Quick-drying Breathable Odor-resistant Durable and long-lasting Wide range of colors and materials Versatile – from boat to bar Cons Must air dry, not tumble dry Fewer styles available for women Why I love it Free Fly is truly the most comfortable outdoor clothing I’ve ever worn. The bamboo blend makes for buttery soft fabric, and every bamboo garment offers UV protection from SPF 20 to 50+. Plus, the clothing is durable and long-lasting. I still wear clothes I bought six years ago! I’ve won over every man in my life with Free Fly, and it’s my favorite gift for any man for any occasion. When the temperatures rise, the quick-drying fabric of Free Fly Apparel keeps me cool and dry—ideal for transitional seasons. In case you’ve never experienced it, bamboo feels like you’re wearing nothing. It’s the most breathable material for clothing and bedding—better than cotton, hemp, wool, and synthetics. Free Fly Apparel is designed to be worn all day, odor-free, because bamboo prevents odor retention. Each garment is versatile, from your first catch to happy hour, and is specifically designed for a specific activity. Fishing guides and outdoor enthusiasts test Free Fly gear in the field. The company places a strong emphasis on giving back and focuses on three initiatives: conservation, humanitarian aid, and future technologies. It partners with Charleston Waterkeeper, Windwood Farm, and OneWorld Health. The bamboo is renewable, pesticide-free, and irrigation-free. But don’t take my word for it! What sets Free Fly’s gear apart is its specialization in bamboo. The testers agree. Andrew K., a five-star tester, says: “Bamboo fan. I’ve become a huge bamboo fan and can hardly wear anything else.” Jason C. says of the lightweight men’s bamboo hoodie: “I’ll spend the rest of my life in these shirts, they’re so incredibly comfortable.” It’s the best hoodie Richard M. owns. He says, “I tried several fishing shirts, but none were comfortable. I spontaneously bought two of these Free Fly shirts. I’m completely satisfied. Even while fishing in the sun with no shade, it was over 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and I still feel comfortable.” Connie T. from sunny Arizona notes, “Great protection in any weather, but I especially love being protected with a hood and hat on sunny days. I’m a 70-year-old woman from Arizona, and my skin has seen enough sun… I now own five of these models that I can wear year-round. My oldest ones are still in great shape.” Where can I find Free Fly Apparel? Free Fly Apparel can be purchased through the brand’s website or in person at a Free Fly retailer. Most items cost between $75 and $100. If you don’t already own Free Fly Apparel, what are you waiting for? Lightweight Bamboo Hoodie Shop Now On the water (on a boat or in an inflatable kayak), a bamboo hoodie and Breeze shorts are my everyday essentials—I own six of them. They serve as a buttery-soft, lightweight layer with a crossover hood and thumbholes. The bamboo hoodie is breathable and odor-resistant, has UPF 20+, and offers a breezy, relaxed fit. No wonder they have hundreds of five-star reviews! Breeze Shorts Shop Now The Breeze shorts, with UPF 50+ and four-way stretch, are lightweight and airy. They feature an internal drawcord for a custom fit and a wide elastic waistband. The women’s Breeze shorts have a mid-rise fit and a 3.5″ inseam. Latitude Shorts Shop Now The Latitude Shorts are made from a quick-drying fabric with a durable water-repellent finish and UPF 50+ for all-day, moisture-wicking comfort. NordicTrack X32i Review When it comes to the best high-end treadmill for home, the NordicTrack Commercial X32i immediately comes to mind. But what do you get for a price tag of over £4,000? If you have the budget and want an intense and intense running experience at home, the NordicTrack Commercial X32i is definitely worth a look. Here’s our NordicTrack X32i review, where we provide you with all the information you need to make an informed decision. Note: The NordicTrack X32i was recently replaced by the NordicTrack X24 Incline Trainer. Read our review of the NordicTrack X24 Incline Trainer. How We Tested the NordicTrack Commercial X32i Treadmill Before we dive into the many extras of the NordicTrack X32i, it’s worth mentioning that our engineers not only test the machine for several days, but also regularly assemble and demonstrate it. This allows us to evaluate the machine’s performance over time based on user feedback. Although the X32i is designed for commercial applications, it is intended for home use only, and the warranty does not cover commercial use. However, it certainly appears to be suitable for use in commercial environments. Specifications The NordicTrack Commercial X32i is one of the most impressive treadmills on the market. Here’s a quick overview of its key features. 4.25 HP motor Automatic incline and decline adjustment from -6% to +40% Fast speed control from 0–19 km/h iFit-ready with 30-day free trial 31.5-inch color touchscreen 2.5-inch precision rollers 55 cm x 165 cm running surface Reflex cushioning Bluetooth headphones and heart rate monitor Autobreeze fan 136 kg weight capacity Assembled dimensions: 196 cm (L) x 102 cm (W) x 185 cm (H) Product weight: 170 kg Packed dimensions: 198 cm (L) x 107 cm (W) x 86 cm (H) Packed weight: 209 kg NordicTrack Commercial X32i review We’d like to take a closer look at the NordicTrack Commercial X32i treadmill, specifically its features. Key features, its durability, construction, and overall performance. Let’s find out if the NordicTrack X32i is right for you. Functionality and Performance First, let’s look at how well the NordicTrack X32i performs in everyday use. Incline and Decline First, one of the most striking features of the X32i: its incline/decline settings, with an impressive range from -6% to a steep +40%. For those who’ve never experienced a 40% incline on a treadmill, it feels like running uphill, and your heart immediately races. With such a wide range of inclines, the 12 quick-adjustment buttons on the left side of the console make adjusting the angle easy. Without these buttons, manually pressing the arrow buttons to set the incline to 40% might take a while. Even better: During an iFit workout, the incline automatically adjusts to suit the workout or the terrain you’re running on. The NordicTrack X32i’s robust construction is impressive, remaining stable and stable even at high speeds, even at maximum incline. As for incline and decline features, if you’re looking for a treadmill with a steep incline, the X32i is the way to go. Speed Because the NordicTrack X32i is a commercial machine, it reaches a fairly high top speed of 19 km/h. However, the previous X32i model from 2019 reached a top speed of 22 km/h. However, the top speed of all NordicTrack treadmills is reduced to 19 km/h. This is likely due to health and safety concerns, and 19 km/h is more than sufficient, especially on such steep inclines. Sure, some treadmills may reach higher top speeds, but let’s face it: Unless you’re an Olympic sprinter, you’ll probably never run anywhere near that fast. For home use and even professional training purposes, the NordicTrack X32i should be more than fast enough to get you sweating. Cushioning What we particularly appreciate about the NordicTrack X32i is the so-called Reflex cushioning. In this case, the Reflex cushioning consists of four separate 7.5 cm springs beneath the high-quality composite running surface. These springs reduce the shock and impact load on the runner, thus ensuring a significantly more comfortable running experience. When it comes to a comfortable running experience, this treadmill certainly delivers. Unless you’re particularly heavy on your feet, your knees and hips should hardly be stressed. The treadmill undoubtedly provides a comfortable running experience. It’s also worth noting that the shock absorption promotes a natural running motion. In addition, a reflex system provides a little more momentum with each takeoff, so you don’t lose energy or momentum. Handlebars and Sensors Many will appreciate the NordicTrack X32i, and we like it too: It features a triple handrail. Of course, it has the classic rails like any other treadmill: the horizontal side and front handrails that you can hold onto. What makes the NordicTrack X32i special are the so-called Sled Push Bars. These are special, vertically mounted, shoulder-width-wide handlebars that mimic pushing a sled. They’re a great addition to any treadmill and can significantly enhance your workout experience and offer additional benefits. In short, the Sled Push Bars make workouts a bit more challenging and add a whole new dimension to your training program. Regarding the handlebars on this treadmill, it’s worth mentioning that they no longer have touch sensors for heart rate. Previous models all had touch sensors for measuring heart rate and other metrics, but these are no longer available. Nordictrack forgoes touch sensors because they are generally inaccurate and recommends chest strap sensors for more accurate readings. Some may consider this a disadvantage, but we don’t. Since they add extra cost, these are relatively useless. Chest strap monitors are significantly more accurate and relatively inexpensive. Size and Portability One of the most important things about this professional treadmill is its enormous weight. Even in the box, it weighs 209 kg (460 lbs). Therefore, please ensure that the delivery team unpacks, carries, or assembles the machine. Below is a picture of the box in our warehouse to give you an idea of the size. You certainly wouldn’t buy this treadmill if you have limited space. Unlike other models, it also doesn’t have any

How to Choose the Right Spanx There are several factors to consider when choosing the right Spanx. Here are some points to keep in mind: Body Type Not all Spanx are the same, so it’s important to choose the right shapewear for your body type. For example, if you carry most of your weight in your midsection, consider high-waisted Spanx pants, which provide extra support there. On the other hand, if you want to smooth your hips and thighs, opt for short-style Spanx pants. Occasion Another important factor is the occasion for which you’re wearing your Spanx. For example, if you’re sitting for long periods, choose breathable and comfortable Spanx pants. On the other hand, if you’re wearing Spanx under a tight dress in the evening, opt for pants with more compression. Color Spanx comes in a variety of colors, so it’s important to choose the right color for your outfit. The colors should coordinate with the clothes you’re wearing over them. For example, pair black Spanx pants with black clothing and white Spanx pants with white clothing. Material The material of your Spanx is also an important factor. Spanx are typically made from a blend of nylon and spandex, but some models also contain cotton or other materials. If you have sensitive skin, a softer, more breathable material is recommended. How to wear Spanx There are a few things to keep in mind when wearing Spanx to ensure maximum comfort and effectiveness. Here are some tips: Layering and Pairing When wearing Spanx under clothing, it’s important to choose the right size and style for your body type and outfit. For example, if you’re wearing a dress, full-body Spanx is recommended to smooth your silhouette. If you’re wearing pants, high-waisted Spanx is recommended to avoid visible lines. When pairing Spanx with other shapewear, pay attention to the level of compression. Avoid wearing two pieces of shapewear that are both designed for maximum compression, as this can be uncomfortable and even counterproductive. Instead, pair a high-compression Spanx with a lighter compression garment, such as a shapewear top. Tips and Tricks Here are some tips and tricks to
Organic Basics Review – Sustainable and Ethical Underwear Review

When it comes to sustainable fashion, secondhand fashion is always a better alternative than buying new. However, the idea of secondhand underwear or swimwear can be difficult to embrace. The next best option would be to consciously replace worn-out garments with new ones from small, ethical, and sustainable brands. Organic Basics is one of the most credible sustainable fashion brands for sustainably and ethically produced underwear. The European company produces simple clothing, underwear, activewear, and swimwear. I tested some of their underwear and here is my honest opinion of the brand. Pointelle Bralette Soft and cozy: This square-neck bralette hugs your body perfectly. Made from a sustainable viscose blend, this thick and stretchy fabric takes relaxation to a new level. – Features a square neckline and low back. – Thick underband with contrasting piping. – Made from a slightly thick and stretchy fabric that hugs your body perfectly. Swim Open Back One-Piece Oh, we love open backs! This elegant swimsuit features a scoop neck, adjustable straps for light support, and a low, open back for a subtly sexy touch. Solar Swim Triangle Bikini Top The classic string bikini style you know and love, in a shimmering finish. Featuring triangle cups, adjustable tie straps, and plenty of room for cleavage at the front and sides. Size up or down for your desired coverage in our soft and elegant tie-front bikini top. Sustainability: The products are made from organic cotton, Tencel, and other recycled materials, selected based on their environmental footprint and durability. All textiles used are listed on the website to facilitate research. Ethics: Organic Basics works exclusively with trusted and certified factory partners who strive to reduce their ecological footprint and ensure ethical and respectful treatment of all textile workers. Each factory is listed on the website with information on certifications, working conditions, and employee benefits. You can learn more about each factory here. Review: The great thing about Organic Basics is that they offer sets, or clothing bundles. If you need to replace several items in your wardrobe, you can save money by buying a set. Tencel Starter Pack Lite Bralette I started with the Tencel Starter Pack, which includes one of their Tencel Lite bralettes and two of their Tencel Lite thongs. Tencel Lite Bralette in Black & Dusty Pink Definitely one of my absolute favorite bralettes. I have a small bust (34A), and bralettes are my favorite bra (if I wear them at all). This piece is lightweight and comfortable, and the Tencel fabric is very soft and breathable. I like that the elastic at the bottom is a bit thicker, and the cutouts are super cute, too. I loved it so much I bought the exact same bralette in dusty pink. I’ve had this one for over a year and a half now and wear it maybe twice a week. As a result, the straps are slowly wearing out and loosening, often slipping off my shoulders. But that’s easily remedied for now by tightening them. I think I’ll have to cut them off and reseal them in the future. Tencel Lite Thongs in Black Okay, I have two pairs of these black Tencel Lite thongs in a set. I like them… except the back rides up a bit and digs into my butt. This thong is also made of Tencel, so it’s very smooth and soft, and the thicker elastic provides some contrast and support. The only downside is that it shows on my butt and is uncomfortable under form-fitting clothing. I usually wear it under flowy skirts or wide-legged pants. Invisible Cheeky Thong in Rose Nude This invisible cheeky thong in rose nude is the perfect underwear to wear under light-colored or sheer pants. It fits much better than a thong and lies flat against the body. It’s made from recycled nylon and spandex and is significantly smoother than the Tencel one. This might be too much information, but I have to say that for some reason, I’ve noticed an increased infection rate when wearing it. Perhaps it’s because the synthetic material is a little less breathable or traps more sweat, but I try to wear it for shorter periods and during the drier phases of my cycle. Bottom line: Organic Basics is a brand that goes to great lengths when it comes to ethics and sustainability, and I commend them for that. They have a men’s department, publish transparency reports, and their website is environmentally friendly. Therefore, this brand is at the top of my list of sustainable brands I like to buy. My experience with the underwear, however, was rather mediocre, almost negative. However, since they offer many other models, I would definitely try them again in the future. I would also like to try their activewear and the newly launched swimwear line.
Lightweight Boots Tested: Ariat’s Legendary Performance Shoes – An Evolution

The Ariat brand name is synonymous with western footwear. And it continually brings new technologies to the forefront that athletes need in boots. I still remember my first pair of Ariats. I had saved my allowance to buy riding boots to replace my parents’ first high, hot, and uncomfortable rubber riding boots. Back then, I could only afford the synthetic boots, but they were a revelation – even in the mid-1990s. For me as a teenager, the gel footbeds were cutting-edge technology. And I wore those boots all summer long, from morning to night, mucking out stables, riding whenever I could, feeding, saddling, and caring for horses. They were comfortable, quickly broken in, and secure in the saddle. They also lasted a long time, which was crucial for a kid who had to make a living from horses. Today, I have (at least) five pairs of Ariats in my closet and a few horses myself. I estimate that Ariats have adorned my feet at least 95% of the time I’ve spent in the saddle or around horses. And that’s still true today. The opportunity to travel to Fort Worth, Texas, visit Ariat’s newest store, talk to members of the Ariat team, and experience the brand’s latest technology firsthand was right up my alley. Ariat Stores Offer Unique Comparison Opportunities I used to buy my Ariats at my local equestrian store, and if they didn’t have the product I wanted in my size, they could order it directly for me. Now, I shop primarily online, although you can also buy Ariats at almost any local farm and ranch store. Ariat also has ten brand stores and outlets across the country. Whether you live in Utah, California, Texas, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, or Arizona, you’re in luck. I visited the newest Ariat brand store in Fort Worth’s Stockyards and was able to witness firsthand how the brand is evolving. Perhaps it’s a combination of the post-pandemic lifestyle and the necessity of online shopping in rural areas, but it felt almost nostalgic to meet people in the store who knew the brand and helped me figure out what might work and what might not. And yet, the store was bustling. The few times I stopped by, the store was packed. People were clamoring for boots, and it showed. However, the actual selection was limited to new, seasonal offerings. And in Texas, Ariat is definitely focused on cowboy boots and western wear, as opposed to the riding boots and breeches of my youth. Ariat’s Evolving Technologies Back then, Ariat was the first manufacturer to develop hybrid performance footwear for athletes and horses. They had to look traditional and be comfortable. Today, this technology-driven approach shapes performance footwear and can also be found in lifestyle shoes. The gel footbed I remember is constantly evolving. The first technology I noticed in the store was Ariat’s Bantamweight sole. Significantly lighter than conventional boots, it combines a chemical compound with wear-resistant mapping to create a durable, lightweight sole. And it’s amazing how much lighter the boots feel in the hand. Another technology perfect for summer is Ariat’s VentTek technology for boots. It cleverly (and simply) integrates mesh into the boot panels and a Dri-Freeze lining for the foot and sole. For someone who’s spent summers in sweaty leather boots, this is a huge win. And many of the VentTEK models feature the Bantamweight sole, resulting in lightweight, breathable boots. Simply super. Tried and tested: Ariat Plano boots in review I’ve been wearing the Plano Bantamweight boot ($210) for a few weeks now, and the weight difference is so significant that it’s barely noticeable. I’ll explain in a minute. Often, especially on long days, I switch boots when I need to run errands or take a break from the stable. I haven’t had to do that with the Planos so far. To be clear, they’re men’s boots, and I’m a real woman. But I’ve often worn men’s cowboy boots because they’re simpler, more neutral, and more sophisticated. They also tend to be heavier. These aren’t. And otherwise, they’re perfect for me. And while the Plano style is sold out online, there are 39 styles for men and 18 styles for women in the Bantamweight version. So you’re in luck. I’ll admit that the first few times I wore the Planos, I wore cotton socks (oh my!). and got a few blisters in the process. But if I had taken them home, I would have broken them in a little slower—and not in the Texas heat wearing cotton socks. Since then, I’ve had no problems and have already ridden quite a few miles in this pair of boots. As Ariats have always done for me, they feel excellent in the saddle and are also great on my own feet. If I buy an older Ariat boot and the newer Bantamweight, the weight difference isThis is obvious. This technology has made its way into my permanent riding gear. Looking ahead: More Ariat tests Although I’ve been a lifelong fan of the brand, I’ve certainly worn other boots. I’ve tried everything from high-quality cowboy boots to vintage boots from thrift stores. And yet, I always return to Ariat. They’re affordable, durable, and offer the right boot selection for every riding style I know. From show jumping to polo and trail riding to reining, I’ve always worn Ariats. I suspect not much will change in the future. This summer, I’ll be putting the VentTEK technology through its paces on Montana’s hottest days. And in the winter, I’ll turn to the insulated boots from the Ariat Terrain collection, which get me through it just fine. Ariats just fit me and my feet. They always have. And I suspect they always will.
Is Parachute Bedding Worth the Hype? My Honest Review

I’m an extremely picky sleeper, and my sleepless habits only get worse as the temperatures rise. As a native Floridian, I’m used to changing sheets, comforters, pillowcases, and more as soon as the thermostat hits a certain level, and I accept that I barely get any sleep until September. When my air conditioner broke, I broke with it, resigned to the sticky and uncomfortable feeling as the temperatures peaked. That’s where Parachute comes in. It’s arguably the go-to direct-to-consumer brand for bedding, especially linen and percale, two of the best fabrics for freshness and coolness. Parachute’s rich hues and effortlessly crinkled texture make any bed look as sophisticated or messy as you desire—a chameleon look for every taste. The brand strikes an impressive balance between understated and casual, making it a reliable choice for any decorator. The durable quality ensures you’ll wear this set every night for years to come. Parachute bedding makes me feel at home These days, I’m the quintessential Gen Z telecommuter; over the past year, I’ve commuted between New York, Utah, Florida, and Hawaii, bringing a total of three suitcases of essentials and material comforts with each move. Despite my limited stash, I’ve used half of my checked luggage each time for my Parachute bedding set: duvet cover, sheets, and pillowcases. It’s been worth it every time; when I’m lonely, tired, or stressed in a strange short-term rental or sublet, I feel so much more comfortable in my coziest bedding—and that’s a key goal of the brand. Before testing the bedding myself, I must confess that I’d seen Parachute so many times that I overlooked it, thinking it might not be worth the hype. Sure, it’s an Instagrammable brand, but would it also feel good? I’m pretty much a princess and the pea when it comes to my bed, so I immediately thought it would be more photogenic than decadent to sleep in. Parachute launched in 2014 as an online-only company when founder Ariel Kaye spotted a gap in the home decor space. After running a design blog and hearing friends complain about finding high-quality, affordable bedding, she filled that void herself. Kaye’s focus on comfortable products also stemmed from her life in New York City; where everything was constantly in flux, her home needed to be a place where she felt peaceful and rested. Today, the brand has several retail locations where you can shop Parachute’s premium products, including high-quality sheets, towels, robes, mattresses, rugs, and all things soft and cozy. Each product exudes refined elegance and evokes a sense of comfort from the moment you see it. It feels incredibly luxurious yet affordable. The linen and percale sheets immediately won me over. Since I move frequently and have lived in hot (sweltering!) climates, I finally settled on Parachute’s popular Linen Venice set (from $469) in the hopes of finding year-round bedding that would be just as comfortable in summer as it would be in the depths of winter. When my air conditioner broke and I suddenly had to rely on tower fans, I was completely distraught, but Parachute’s offerings have helped me the most in alleviating my temperature-related discomfort—and they look great too. The sheets themselves were easy to place on my bed, and I even noticed that the duvet cover had convenient pockets, buttons, and ties at the corners and bottom, making inserting the comforter a breeze. The fitted sheet has an elastic hem and easily covered my queen-size bed and mattress topper. The linen sheet set (from $189) is washed, which contributes to a cozy feel. From the moment I slipped into bed, I felt comfortable in my sheets and felt like I had found a new staple I could swear by. They felt cool and airy despite the summer heat. Overall, I kept coming back for more. They were just so soft and gave me a luxurious feeling every time I slipped into bed. Linen Sheet Set NEW: Our legendary linen, perfected. Your favorite linen sheets are now even more durable at 175 g/m² without sacrificing their signature softness. The gateway to your perfect bed. Made in Portugal from the finest European flax, our durable, breathable linen is soft from the start and only gets softer over time. Percale Duvet Cover Set Give your bed a fresh, new look with our duvet cover and matching pillowcases. Made in Portugal from 100% premium, certified long-staple Egyptian cotton, our percale is lightweight and durable, boasting a crisp finish that only gets more beautiful over time. Vintage Linen Pillowcase Instantly add a touch of style to your bed or sofa with this oversized statement piece. The casual linen fabric and nature-inspired color palette make our pillowcase a real eye-catcher in your home. Parachute’s Percale Sheet Set is the perfect choice for people who sweat while sleeping. Although I tend to prefer linen, Parachute’s popular Percale Sheet Set (from $505) is heavenly for people who sweat while sleeping. I’ve never been a percale fan, but Parachute’s fabric was lightweight, breathable, and soft enough to convert me. It allows for good air circulation, so you’re not trapped by the heat in bed, without sacrificing comfort and security. The Percale Sheet Set (from $129) is fresh and cooling, creating a five-star hotel feel. Made from 100% certified long-staple Egyptian cotton and available in eight striking colors—from classic white to dreamy hues—these sheets are both lightweight and durable. While I’d like to take good care of my bedding, I like to wash it at least weekly. As a result, I’ve had too many failures with inexpensive products that fray and sag over time. I love knowing these sheets will last. With other brands, I’ve found they fray almost immediately after the first wash. Pro tip: Parachute sheets are washer-dryer and dryer-safe, but the brand recommends using wool dryer balls instead of dryer sheets. An easy transition for me, considering how valuable they are to my sleep. I expect my sheets to last for years. Okay, fine, I’ll
HEYDUDE Wally Shoes Review: The Perfect Slip-Ons Your Summer Wardrobe Is Missing

Can you own too many shoes? As an avid shoe collector, I always ask myself this question when I’m eyeing a new pair of elegant dress shoes or the latest sneakers – especially considering how much a new shoe collection for the warmer months costs. Most men limit their summer footwear to a pair of white men’s sneakers and their favorite flip-flops. I don’t mean to judge anyone, but these two must-haves don’t cover all needs. I myself have discovered a relatively small but important gap in my summer shoe collection – and that’s where the Wally Palm shoes from HEYDUDE come in. These featherweight slip-ons are the perfect choice for all summer adventures. The breathable canvas upper and supportive, featherweight cushioning make them the ideal everyday companion. Whether in the big city or spending the summer at the beach, the HEYDUDE Wally shoes are more versatile than leather sandals or flip-flops. Sure, running shoes are also suitable for a stroll around town, but why rack up the miles in expensive sneakers when you can wear this casual style all day long? The machine-washable shoe with Flex-and-Fold technology also makes the Wally a practical solution for lightweight travel. This casual summer shoe at a low price could be just what my shoe rack is missing. Admittedly, I’ve never tried a pair of HEYDUDE shoes, but as a long-time shopping editor, word of mouth surrounding the brand hasn’t left me. After reading an overwhelming amount of enthusiastic customer reviews and watching several TikTok videos (the brand’s video reviews have a combined total of over 623 million views), I knew it was time to try out the HEYDUDE Wally style. HeyDude Wally Palm Slipper The Style If you’re more fashion-conscious, you’ll appreciate the Wallys’ boat-shoe-like design. The return of the preppy look calls for the classic boat shoes so beloved by style icons like Paul Newman and John F. Kennedy. However, their usual boat shoes lack the springy, supportive feel of the HEYDUDE Wallys. Both Newman and Kennedy liked to wear socks with their boat shoes—something that classic menswear experts might consider sacrilege. The Wallys, on the other hand, have a cotton lining and a padded ankle collar for added comfort if you want to wear these cool boys sans socks. What immediately caught my eye about the Wally Palm model was the abstract palm tree pattern on the upper. It has a Warhol-esque screen-printed effect, subtly reminiscent of the tropical leaf pattern, contrasting with the bold, “dad-style” Hawaiian shirt. The painterly effect of the Wally Palm creates a casual and relaxed look that has become popular with both fashion labels and male consumers in recent years. The white and light brown color combination makes the shoe versatile: It can lighten up the look of a white shirt and chinos, or perfectly complement a simple T-shirt with slim-fit cargo pants. Scuff marks on the upper of the HEYDUDE Wally add an even cooler touch. (Since the shoe is quite durable, I might sand the edges of the upper for a slightly rougher effect.) For a business-casual day at the Footwear News office, I kept the look tonal and paired the fresh pair with pleated chinos and an oatmeal short-sleeved knit shirt. On weekends, I styled the Wally Palms more playfully with patchwork pants and a casual blue striped button-down shirt, taking some inspiration from Junya Watanabe’s Warhol-inspired Spring 2023 collection. Fit The HEYDUDE Wally Palm runs true to size, but some reviewers recommend sizing up. Since I typically wear half sizes, I find the next size up to be just right for wearing with or without socks. The size fits perfectly for my slightly wider feet, which can feel cramped in tight toe boxes. The Feel The shoe’s soft cushioning and slight bounce are undeniable. However, compared to running shoes with maximum cushioning, it’s more neutral than too soft, making it more appealing to men who prefer a bit more stability. What really surprised me was how incredibly lightweight the HEYDUDE Wally shoes are; they’re lighter than my iPhone. Are the HEYDUDE Wally shoes good for sweaty feet? Breathable canvas keeps feet pleasantly cool in the summer sun. However, men who plan to wear HEYDUDE Wallys all day, every day, should throw these slippers in the washing machine every few weeks. If this applies to you, check out HEYDUDE’s care guide. There are dozens of TikTok videos with tips for cleaning the removable insoles of HEYDUDE shoes. If you value freshness, thousands of customers have tried covering the insole with an invisible sock for additional odor protection. For fashion-conscious individuals, pairing the Wally Palm shoes with a ribbed, neutral sock and chino shorts is a trendy way to prevent odors. Summary Whether you’re looking for an everyday hiking shoe, lightweight travel footwear, or simply something comfortable and affordable, the HEYDUDE Wally Palm shoes are perfect for your needs. I can’t guarantee I won’t continue to stock up on more fun footwear for the season, but either way, I know the Wally shoes will provide me with the right footwear for fun in the sun.

If you need my feet, I wear Wellow socks all winter.

Like many busy, active people, I put a lot of strain on my feet and legs every day—walking my dog, squeezing my feet into tight climbing shoes for hours-long workouts at the gym, and running errands around the neighborhood. At the end of the day, my lower body is tired and needs some recovery. So it’s surprising I haven’t thought to try compression socks until now. Wellow sent me some socks to test, and I’ve been putting them through their paces over the past few weeks. In the evenings, when I wanted to relax (as SELF previously reported, compression socks boost circulation in the legs, thus aiding post-workout recovery), it turns out Wellow’s compression socks have much more to offer than their pretty packaging and color scheme, although those are great. They’re also incredibly comfortable and a great entry-level pair for compression socks newbies. Compression Socks Ankle Socks The Fit Wellow offers compression socks in sizes S (US shoe sizes 4 to 6.5) to XL (US shoe sizes 12 to 15). I normally wear a size 9.5, which is more of a medium size, but this size fit me well. The socks didn’t pinch my toes or feel too short. Instead, they were roomy in the forefoot and hugged my heels snugly. My feet are quite narrow, but I like to have room to spread and wiggle my toes, so this combination was perfect for me. The standard knee socks are designed for a calf circumference of 29.2 to 48.3 cm. Wellow also offers compression socks for wider calves, suitable for a calf circumference of 43 to 56 cm. The standard-size socks felt a little tight on my calves, but not so tight that I felt like my muscles were being constricted. The socks adapted to my movements and didn’t pinch—after a few minutes, I forgot what I was thinking. Also noteworthy is that my pair reached above my knees. I folded the ends of the socks, but this didn’t affect the fit or support. I also tested a pair of the brand’s Ankle Tab socks, which fit snugly around the ankle and provide extra padding at the back of the heel. The Feel While I already have some warm, comfortable socks, I was still impressed by how soft the Wellow fabric is. Made from a blend of bamboo viscose, polyester, spandex, and nylon, they’re thick, smooth, and stretchy—I didn’t have to struggle to get the sock on my foot and over my calf, which is often frustrating with compression socks. When I first tried the socks on, I noticed that my feet got a little warm after a while (thanks to the antimicrobial properties of the material, though, I didn’t have any sweaty odor). But as the weather got colder and I got more used to the feel of the socks, I loved how cozy and warm they were. It’s gotten to the point where I’m sad when I reach for my Wellows and find they’re in the wash—the only solution is clearly to order a few more pairs for a change. In terms of actual compression levels, Wellows socks have a unique range of 18 to 25 millimeters of mercury (mmHG). 20 mmHG and below is considered low-pressure compression; 20 to 30 mmHG is considered medium-pressure compression; and 30 to 40 mmHG is considered high-pressure compression. Most compression socks are rated based on these ranges (i.e., the label will indicate the compression range and, for example, whether the socks are “low-pressure” or “medium-pressure” compression). Therefore, Wellow’s compression level is somewhat more specific than other brands. Medium-pressure compression is considered optimal for post-workout recovery and is the most common level you’ll find when shopping for compression socks. If you’re concerned about circulatory problems such as blood clots, spider veins, varicose veins, or deep vein thrombosis, Wellows socks don’t provide enough compression to prevent these conditions. However, if you prefer a more discreet feel, they’re an excellent option. My lower legs and feet (especially my underfoot) are gently supported in Wellows socks—not constricted. The feel is comparable to that of lightly compressive workout leggings or high-tech running socks with built-in arch support. They fit perfectly, but not too tightly. When I remove the socks, I feel less tension in my calf muscles and more mobility in my ankles and toes. It’s not a night-and-day difference, but I still feel and appreciate it. Conclusion If you’re interested in compression socks and are ready to try a beginner-friendly pair, I highly recommend Wellows. The light compression is ideal for newcomers, and the seamless, durable material is extremely comfortable. They’re also very washable. So far, I haven’t noticed any pilling, wear, or loss of elasticity, even after multiple washes. All of this justifies their price: At $29 a pair, Wellows aren’t exactly cheap, but they’re worth it if you’re struggling with fussy calves or barking dogs. After a few hours in Wellows, you might forget you’ve been on your feet all day.
